Remember: faith beats fear, greed isn’t good and nice guys finish first”: with these words, I was introduced to a beautiful book called “Love is the killer app”, that I would soon read with great emotion. A book that begins with Chris, a manager of an important corporation, in search of help, through these words: “I feel like I’m not treating my colleagues well. I’m behaving like one of my father’s generation.” From there on, following the author’s guidance, he will find a new path, a new journey, a new sense.
In short, a fascinating journey to read in one breath. I read this book during a trip to Oman which, like every experience around the world, represents the best moment to dedicate ourselves to our passions, our growth, and our evolution as individuals and, consequently, as professionals. Because it is now a fact: the travel&books cocktail represents the most effective tool for personal growth and for the pursuit of happiness.
Here in Talassio, in order to seek happiness, we have also thought of another tool: the listening superpower. In a job that thrives on relationships, it is essential to always act with an holistic approach, a modus operandi “where everything matters”. Because if you anticipate go beyond – the needs and the expectations of those in front of you, whether it’s with ourselves, a guest, an employee or a partner, something magical happens.
And that’s how from the “I think, therefore I am” of Cartesian memory, we move on to “I listen, therefore I can take care of you”. How? By making human relationships the greatest luxury ever and by putting love and gratitude as our North Star. And in this magazine, we tried to express our love for these places and for this job. And, certainly, our gratitude. For all of you.
Happy reading!
